Ohio Transfer Module Approved Courses Reporting System
Introduction
The Ohio Transfer Module Approved Courses Reporting System is a resource to help users with the transfer process by identifying Transfer Module-approved courses that align with general education subject areas at Ohio public institutions of higher education.
The Ohio Transfer Module (OTM), which is a subset or a complete set of a public college's or university's general education requirement that represents a common body of knowledge and academic skills, is comprised of 36-40 semester hours or 54-60 quarter hours of courses in the following fields: English composition and oral communication; mathematics, statistics and formal/symbolic logic; arts and humanities; social and behavioral sciences; and natural sciences. Additional elective hours from among the five areas make up the total hours for a completed Transfer Module.

The Transfer Module supports the unique visions for general education within and among the family of Ohio public institutions, which are designed to provide students with foundational skills and abilities. Transfer Module courses emphasize breadth of knowledge in 100-200 level coursework to build an academic foundation for liberal education.
Upon completion of the Transfer Module, students will be able to do the following: communicate effectively, evaluate arguments in a logical fashion. Employ the methods of inquiry characteristic of natural sciences, social sciences and the arts and humanities; acquire an understanding of our global and diverse culture and society; and engage in our democratic society.
Bilateral Transfer Agreements regarding the credit transfer still exist between Ohio public colleges and universities and are not reflected in this Reporting System. Go to the u.Select website (formerly known as Course Applicability System) for this information.
