Transfer Assurance Guide Approved Courses Bulletin Board
The Transfer Assurance Guide (TAG) Approved Courses Bulletin Board is a resource to help users with the transfer process by identifying equivalent, or equal, TAG approved courses at Ohio public institutions of higher education.
A TAG course is unique in that it has been matched to a set of learning outcomes (identified by an OAN Code) in a specific academic subject area. If the current and destination institution have an approved course during the same time period that meets the same set of learning outcomes, then the courses are equivalent.
Approved TAG courses carry the guarantee that the courses and their credits will transfer and apply toward the major at any of Ohio’s public institutions of higher education, provided the course was taken when the courses were equivalent. The guarantee began in the autumn of 2005 with the creation of TAGs for 38 majors. If the current institution’s TAG course has been approved and the destination institution does not have an approved TAG course, then the course will transfer at least as meeting a major credit. How it applies within the major is up to the discretion of the destination institution.

In order to interpret the results correctly, it is advised that you read the directions and definitions before using the search functions.
Bilateral Transfer Agreements regarding the credit transfer still exist between Ohio public colleges and universities and are not reflected in this bulletin board. Go to the Course Applicability System at http://oh.transfer.org/cas/index.jsp for this information.
This bulletin board only contains information about approved state-wide TAG courses. For complete information about how all your courses will transfer, contact the destination institution.
