III. Transfer Policy

C. State Certification, Statutory, Regional Accrediting Commission, and Professional Association Accreditation Requirements

In the process of earning a degree, students must complete requirements for that degree and sometimes, as in the case of teacher education programs, must also meet state licensure requirements. Statutory regulations and regional accrediting commission requirements or professional association accreditation requirements may also impose restrictions on some programs. In the field of architecture, for example, the National Architectural Accrediting Board (NAAB) urges accredited schools to utilize courses in the major which have been successfully completed at an NAAB-accredited school. Such state licensure requirements, statutory requirements, regional accrediting commission requirements or professional association accreditation regulations take precedence over this policy statement. The application of state licensure, statutory, regional accrediting commission or professional association regulations shall be the same for both native and transfer students.
