III. Transfer Policy
J. Articulation and Transfer Advisory Council
In order to provide a continuing forum on the progress of higher education in implementing this policy, the Ohio Board of Regents shall establish and maintain an Articulation and Transfer Advisory Council which is a representative body of institutions of higher education. The Chancellor shall select Advisory Council members from representatives nominated by college and university presidents.
The Articulation and Transfer Advisory Council shall have the responsibility to advise the Ohio Board of Regents as follows:
- Conduct a continuing review of the provisions of this policy and recommend such revisions as needed to meet the intent of the policy while maintaining program and degree integrity;
- Review and make recommendations concerning articulation and transfer issues brought before it by institutions of higher education;
- Recommend modifications in institutional policies and procedures which, in the Advisory Council's judgment, would enhance and facilitate the transfer of students while maintaining program and degree integrity;
- Charge a Faculty Committee and its subcommittees with responsibility to review and recommend adjustments as needed in the Transfer Module and Transfer Assurance Guide guidelines;
- Charge a standing Faculty Committee to review each institution's Transfer Module and Transfer Assurance Guide submissions to assure that the courses identified meet the intent of guidelines for the Transfer Module and the Transfer Assurance Guides;
- Establish committees (e.g. Faculty Transfer Module Review, Oversight, Faculty TAG Review, and Impact) with defined charges, representative membership and lengths of terms that will provide review and recommendations to the Articulation and Transfer Advisory Council on specific aspects of the Ohio Articulation and Transfer Policy relating to the interpretation and implementation of said policy.
