Advanced Placement (AP)
This site is dedicated to information on Ohio's Articulation and Transfer Policy. Beginning in 2009, students in Ohio who take a College Board Advanced Placement examination and score at least a '3' are guaranteed college credit upon entering an Ohio Public Institution of Higher Education. The exact number of credits and how those credits will apply towards a degree at an institution vary from test to test and institution to institution, but they will count towards the general education curriculum when possible. This site provides information on the Advanced Placement Examinations available, as well as policies and guidelines.
For background information about the AP initiative, visit the following pages:
In order to best align the credit awarded for these tests across the state, the Ohio Board of Regents has created a set of recommendations for institutions to follow when granting credit for AP examinations.
