Ohio War Orphans Scholarship

Updates to State Grants and Scholarships Programs are still pending the final passage of the state biennial budget. The final passage was anticipated by July 1, 2009, but the state is currently operating under an interim budget which will expire July 7, 2009. As additional details emerge, they will be posted on this page immediately, so feel free to check back for the most up-to-date status.

Status: Funding for this program for the 2009-2010 academic year is expected to be slightly less than the year before. As a result, a reduction in scholarship award amounts is likely. The Ohio War Orphans Scholarship Board is scheduled to meet Thursday, July 9, 2009, to set award amounts for the 2009-2010 academic year. Further updates are scheduled to be posted on the website accordingly during the week of July 13, 2009.
