Partnerships

The institutions participating in the Regents partnership agree that:

Increasing the overall performance of buildings is a win-win opportunity for our communities and the nation;
High performance buildings reduce building energy costs, increase available capital, spur economic growth and improve living and working conditions;
Working with the Rebuild America network and the programs sponsored by the Department of Energy's Office of Energy Efficiency and Renewable Energy (EERE) provides a viable strategy to achieve these goals.

Each partner is encouraged to develop action items regarding building retrofits, smart building design, and other energy activities to be implemented as funding permits. The action plan may include, but is not limited to, a description of proposed energy efficiency measures, a strategy to carry them out, and expected costs and savings.
