Labs21 Workshop
The course is a full day workshop that introduces strategies for designing and constructing sustainable laboratories in both
new and existing facilities. The cost for registration is $75.00. While designed as an introductory course, those familiar with sustainable laboratory design are also
welcome to attend and contribute to the discussion. Taught by seasoned laboratory designers, energy managers and facilities professionals,
course topics will include:
- The architecture and engineering of high performance labs
- The energy effcient design process
- Air supply and distribution systems
- Laboratory exhaust systems
- Direct digital controls
- Commissioning
- Lighting
- Case studies
- Resources, tools...and much more!

Parking Information
Parking will be available at no charge for workshop attendees at the University Parking Facilities (UPF), located at 1880 East 21st Street. The top level of the UPF will be reserved for Labs21 attendees. Please inform the attendant that you are participating in the Labs21 workshop.
Access to this facility is available from both East 21st Street and from East 19th Street. You will need to turn south from Chester Avenue into either street. A campus map is located at http://www.csuohio.edu/campus_map_tour/#2.
The Labs 21 Workshop is worth 6 Professional Development Hours (PDH’s) and 6 Continuing Education Credits (CEC’s) from the American Institute of Architects for registered architects.
The Ohio Board of Regents and the Ohio Department of Development, Office of Energy Efficiency are the State of Ohio hosts for
this event. Labs 21 is a program sponsored by the US Department of Energy and the US Environmental Protection Agency. Program
