Financial RequirementsThe United States government releases over $1 billion each year to support the Carl D. Perkins Act of 1998. From this allotment, the state of Ohio receives between $40-50 million that is distributed to Secondary, Adult and Postsecondary Career and Technical schools. Consequently, 20 percent is distributed to the adult and postsecondary institutions funded through Perkins. The funds are allocated based on a state formula that has been approved by USDE. Once the campuses are awarded funds, they must follow federal and state spending guidelines. Comprehensive Continuous Improvement Planning (CCIP)
