Helping Low-Income Ohioans Succeed
Did you know that there are more than 37,000 low-income Ohioans currently attending college? These individuals are taking courses and gaining new skills and knowledge so that they will be able to better support themselves and enjoy a higher quality of living.
However, low-income Ohioans face many barriers that can make completing education beyond high school difficult. In addition to the need for tuition assistance, everyday living expenses make it difficult for these students to attend class regularly and be successful. In an effort to help low-income Ohioans succeed in higher education, the Ohio Board of Regents and the Ohio Job & Family Services agencies are collaborating on a program called TANF Educational Awards Program (TEAP).
