Edit and Load Specifications

Extended Baccalaureate Students (ES) File
Revised July 22, 1999

Edit Rules for each Extended Baccalaureate Students (ES) Record

A.  Execute all edits from the General Section of the Edit and Load Specifications
B.  If Expected Time to Completion is not numeric
            write Error 114 on edit message file
C.  If Expected Time to Completion is equal to 400
            write Error 214 on edit message file
D.  If "Number of Hours for Program Completion" is not numeric
            write Error 242 on edit message file
E.  If the combination of OBRID for the student described in the submission record and Subject Code do not match an
     OBRID and Subject Code in the Degree Certificate table with a Degree Level column value of "05" for this Institution
     and Year
            write Error 243 on edit message file
F.  If the Delete Switch is not "Y" or "N"
            write Error 013 on edit message file
G.  If there are two or more records with the same Student Identifier and Subject Code in the submission
            write Error 246 on edit message file
H.  If the Delete Switch is Y and the record does not exist in Extended Baccalaureate Students table for this Institution and
     Subject Code
            write Error 245 on edit message file
I.  If the Delete Switch is N and if any Subject Code in the submission file appears in the Extended Baccalaureate Program
     table for this Institution and Year
            write Warning B66 on edit message file
J.  If the Delete Switch is N and there is a row in the Extended Baccalaureate Students table that matches the OBRID for this
    student, Subject Code, Institution, and Year, overlay the data in the database with the data in the submission, and
            write Warning U03 on edit message file
