Subsidy Full-Time Equivalent
Enrollment
Subsidy full-time equivalent (FTE) enrollment is the process used by the
Ohio Board of Regents to determine the data to be used in calculating instructional
subsidy. The result of the process is a listing of eligible and ineligible
FTE by campus, by subsidy model. These data are also used for other subsidy
and public policy development purposes.
Student enrollments are reported to Regents by public colleges and universities
at the end of each academic term. These enrollments are classified by Subject
Code and Level of instruction of the course, and according to the student's
eligibility for subsidy. These and other parameters are used to determine
which of the subsidy models is used to fund the course.
This process is restricted to the calculation of Subsidy FTE enrollments;
the actual allocation of subsidy funds is not part of the process.
