Step by Step Instructions

To Create or Modify HEI Accounts


Each institutional staff person responsible for submitting files or accessing restricted outputs
must have a unique HEI Web account. Sharing of accounts and passwords is  not allowed.

 To create a new HEI user account:

1)  Go to the Liaisons Only Web Page at
   https://hei.regents.state.oh.us/cgi/HEInet.cgi?$sp_html_hei_login%20%271%27

2)  Select Administer HEI Web Accounts from the Liaisons Only Web page

3)  Select Add New Individual and key in all of the necessary information.

4)  Based on the work responsibilities of the employee, select the appropriate Type of
     HEI Web Account Authorization (Data  Reporter and/or  Restricted Outputs).
     Proceed to Page 2.

5)  Based on the work responsibilities of the employee select the appropriate files within each
     data area and/or the appropriate  types of restricted outputs.

6)  Select Submit Authorizations.

7)  All administrators with an HEI account should have completed and returned the
     Campus User Authorization Form. It can be downloaded at:
   http://regents.ohio.gov/hei/form.PDF

To modify an existing HEI user account, simply select a name from the box indicating "Select Representative"and follow steps 2 to 7 above. Please be sure to review the account information for accuracy, especially the e-mail address.

Existing accounts that you have modified will be updated immediately.   Those staff with new
accounts will be notified by e-mail with further instructions on obtaining their user names and passwords.
