Submitting Data

1. Start with the HEI File Submission Information page to familiarize yourself with the data gathering methods. There are video tutorials, training manuals, verification tables and much more available. You can also look at the Slides from the April 6, 2006 Tech Prep New User's Training.
2. If you will be submitting data, contact us to see when the next New User's Training Program will be held.
3. Once you are familiar with the HEI submission methods above, check out the Tech Prep Submission Document: Tech Prep Consortium Tracking (TC) File.
4. Proceed to the Data Entry Portal or Data Input Site to enter your data.
5. For information on how the file is processed in HEI look at the Edit and Load Specifications.
6. Sometimes there will be updates to Tech Prep. Look for this information on the Additional Questions page.

Using the Queries:

1. Start with the HEI File Submission Information page to familiarize yourself with the data gathering methods. There are video tutorials, training manuals, verification tables and much more available.
2. Go to the Tech Prep One Stop and click on the query of your choice.
• The HEI Tech Prep Consortium Tracking Results will track Tech Prep student mobility into Ohio Public Institutions and some private institutions.
• To find the Developmental Courses at your institution, please run the Course Inventory Query selecting the target institution, year & term, and course level.
• The HEI Tech Prep Enrollment Query will track the courses that a Tech Prep student takes at Ohio Public Institutions.
• This query can also track what types of Alternative Credit students receive.
3. Enter your HEI username and password.
4. Choose your options and click "Submit Query" to run your query.
