In previous years university campus staff submitted to the Board of Regents a report of graduate applications and new enrollments. For the last two years these data were submitted as an Excel attachment via email. Beginning with the 1999-2000 academic year, we will begin collecting these data in HEI.
The Graduate and Professional Admissions (GP) file due October 31, 2000, is an annual file detailing the number of students that applied for admission to graduate programs and provides detail about the educational background of new graduate students that enrolled at your institution. A detailed description of the GP file can be viewed at http://regents.ohio.gov/hei/datasubdoc/enrollment/production/gpfile.html.
To facilitate the reporting of these data we have created a data entry process that will allow authorized GP data reporters to key enter data and create a file that can then be directly submitted to HEI. We have placed a tutorial at http://regents.ohio.gov/hei/datasubdoc/general/data_entry_tutorial.pdf that explains how to use the Data Entry Screens.
Data reporters can also create ASCII text files on their own systems and submit data in the traditional manner through the Data Input Site. A complete file layout for the GP file is located at http://regents.ohio.gov/hei/datasubdoc/enrollment/production/gpfile.html and the edit specifications for the file can be viewed at http://regents.ohio.gov/hei/enrollment/gpedit.html. In order to submit GP files in HEI , you must have an HEI account and
password. Please contact your HEI liaison
