Having received positive feedback from campuses to our proposal to reorganize the structure of financial reporting we are moving forward. Beginning with Summer term 2000, we will no longer collect the Funding Unit Inventory (FI) file. Consequently, the Course Section Taught (ST) file will no longer need to wait on the FI in order to be processed. To facilitate end of the year reporting in the financial data area, Regents staff will develop a query to inform campus data reporters which funding units have been used in the ST throughout the year and consequently must have a record in the Funding Unit Expenditure (FX) file.
