Q: What if the census date is on a holiday?
A:
The Board of Regents does not accommodate holidays regardless of where a holiday
might fall
between the 1st and 15th day. Many campuses have accommodated the needs of
their students
by extending their hours during the 1st 15 days of classes, and some campuses
do not honor all
the same holidays. We make no exceptions to the rule that students need to
be registered for a
course as of the end of business on the
15th calendar day of an academic term to eligible for
subsidy.
Q:
What does it mean when an edit shows that the Record Count field does not
equal the number of data records
submitted?
A: This is the result of the file containing extra blank lines, usually those made by hard returns left from the program that generated the file. Data reporters can see this occur by opening the file in a text editor and scrolling to the bottom of the page. A flashing cursor probably will be present one or more lines down from the last record. The cursor should be backspaced so that it is at the far right of the last line of the file. This will eliminate those "blank" errors.
Q: Are all developmental courses funded at the GS II level regardless of subject matter?
A:
Yes, that is correct. Note that only four types of subject matter
are applicable for developmental courses. You can view those types at
http://regents.ohio.gov/hei/datasubdoc/enrollment/production/cifile.html#courselevel.
