January 2, 2004 The IPEDS Status Codes reported by institutions were revised to reflect the attainment of either an associate's or bachelor's degree within the specified time periods. IPEDS Status Codes 02, 03, 04, etc. were changed to 2A, 2B, 3A, 3B, etc. 
May 7, 2001 Added IPEDS Status Codes "30" for students who earned 30 hours toward the associate's degree at this institution.
February 6, 2001
  • Added IPEDS Status Codes for students still enrolled but seeking a 3- or 5-year degree
  • Added IPEDS Reported Cohort Type for certificate seekers
  • Clarified that student athletes refer only to those receiving athletic aid

    August 15, 2000 Added instructions concerning header record under "Additional Explanations" section. 
    Augut 7, 2000 Added code 07 to the IPEDS Status field for students completing a program of less than 2 years. 

    Added codes TC and AO to the Students Athlete Status field for Track and Cross Country and All Other Athletes Combined respectively. Eliminated all codes but NA, BK, BS and FT.
