Stage OneIMPORTANT INFORMATION CONCERNING SPECIFIC COURSES
The Ohio Board of Regents conducts periodic analyses of courses relative to the cost of instruction of other courses within the same subsidy model or level. These analyses are shared with a variety of institutional constituencies including the members of the biennial instructional subsidy consultation and the chief academic officers. Sometimes these analyses result in recommendations for funding that specify the subsidy model or level assignment for courses that do not require the same amount of rigor as other courses within the same subsidy model or level.
Courses instructing students in computer literacy, CPR, first aid, or keyboarding (only the first course in a series) have been determined to receive ONLY General Studies subsidy (Level G), regardless of their curricular contribution to any degree program.
Following are general course descriptions and recommended Subject Codes for these courses:
Computer Literacy: an introduction to the concepts and basic features of electronic computers, including computer industry terminology regarding hardware, software, procedures, operating systems, data communications, and programming. Subject Code: 110101
