Additional Studies

The Board of Regents will also be conducting two additional studies during the time frame the HEFSC will be meeting:

  • A comprehensive review of the State Share of Instruction Formula and the Challenges.
  • A study proposing recommendations for a formula to distribute funds for clinical teaching support to the six state-assisted colleges of medicine.

Higher Education Funding Study Council

The Higher Education Funding Study Council (HEFSC) is charged with reviewing all aspects of higher education funding contained in the budget (H.B. 66) and recommending any changes it determines are necessary.

The Council will also review instructional and general fees as well as room and board fees at the 13 state universities with the intent of setting limits on future increases.
