Diploma Schools of Nursing
Diploma Schools of Nursing, as defined by the National League of Nursing Accrediting Commission (NLNAC), are usually hospital-based programs with a course of study two to three years in length leading to the award of a nursing diploma. Graduates are eligible for licensure as a registered nurse and are generally employed in hospitals and long-term-care facilities.
Ohio's three Diploma Schools of Nursing are:
- Community Hospital School of Nursing (Springfield)
- Firelands Regional Medical Center School of Nursing
- Huron School of Nursing
Ohio also offers a variety of nursing programs, and a list of those programs can be found on the Ohio Board of Nursing website at www.nursing.ohio.gov. For additional financial aid and scholarship information, visit the Regents NEALP site.
